Abstract

In this paper, a detailed discussion of electrical balance for the water-water energetic reactor WWER-1000. The balance of the plant (BOP) is a term generally used in the context of power engineering to refer to all the supporting components and auxiliary systems of a power plant needed to deliver the energy, other than the generating unit itself. These may include transformers, inverters, supporting structures etc. depending on the type of plant [9]. All electrical component had discussed and a case study included two WWER-1000 nuclear power reactors connected to two different electrical network voltages 750 KV and 330 KV. In the case study; Load flow analysis; short circuit analysis, transient stability; the effects of the motors’ acceleration on the system; and optimal capacitors’ placement for power factor correction purposes had studied.
